I started using coconut oil about a year ago and I swear by it. I keep it by the cooker, in the shower and medical cabinet. Coconut oil is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals and has one of the highest saturated fat contents known to man.

Coconuts produce; water, cream, milk, oil, butter. They are not, however, limited just to cooking; they also boast an amazing amount of healing benefits to our bodies both inside and out. Hair, skin and metabolic boost are just a few to begin with! Pretty powerful stuff, huh?

Coconut oil has lauric acid which kills of infection and fungi giving it preventative qualities making it great to be using in any way you can.
Its used in many soaps and natural skin products which means now you can make your own masks from home or simply wash your face with it once in a while!
You can use coconut oil in almost any food you cook, as it doesn’t taste strongly of coconut, but if your base flavour is coconut it will enhance it perfectly, too! I also add it to my smoothies sometimes for some extra ‘umph’ in the morning.
Coconut oil is great for your hair as it prevents protein loss helping with; damage, hair loss, conditioning, moisture retention, lice protection and split ends.
Ladies no need to stress, although they contain a high amount of fat, its good fat that actually reduces your appetite and boosts your metabolism as you go about your healthy living day!
